SUBMIT YOUR FILM

OUR NEXT film presentation will be in December; for those interested in presenting, please see below. As before, we’ll show the films but also have a Q&A with the ilmmakers afterwards.

This event, as usual, will be free and open to the public.

How AND WHY: submit a film – Submission Guidelines:

Submissions should be 20 minutes or less.
A submission may also consist of a segment or excerpt of up to 20 minutes from a longer work.
Filmmakers may submit several very short works as a collection, provided their combined running time is 20 minutes or less.
Work should relate in some way to the environment, culture, or the arts.
No AI-generated material is permitted. Submitted work must not contain images, video, audio, music, voices, writing, or other creative material generated by artificial intelligence.
Filmmakers must guarantee that they own or have secured the necessary rights and permissions for all material contained in their submission and that the work does not infringe upon any copyright or other third-party rights.
Emerging, student, independent, and established filmmakers are all encouraged to submit.

MAW presents screenings multiple times throughout the year, so there will be ongoing opportunities to have work considered.

Please check the MAW website regularly for upcoming submission deadlines, screening dates, and details on how to submit.

We look forward to showcasing the work of filmmakers telling stories about the Bay Area and exploring the environment, culture, and arts through film and video.
